U.S. Army Cadet Corps' Military Adventure Camp has a number of summer programs for young women and men between the ages of 13 and 18. First-time participants can take a general basic training program, or one of three specialized camp programs that include basic cadet training/cadet ranger school and basic cadet training/basic leader course. Cadets that choose to return to the camp can elect to take cadet ranger and leadership programs or a martial arts course. Camps last from three to five weeks, during which time cadets are divided into platoons of 40 to 50 campers.

Freedom Alliance Military Leadership Academy is open to high school students between the ages of 14 and 18. Both boys and girls are welcome at the camp, which has two session each summer lasting about two weeks each. Cadets are taught leadership skills, U.S. history and American civics in a discussion-style setting. The camp also emphasizes responsibility, respect and teamwork. Activities at Freedom Alliance Military Leadership Academy include team-building exercises and a land navigation course. Cadets also tour local attractions with historical significance, such as the Jamestown Settlement and Lincoln Memorial.

Honor Code! United States Service Academy Preparatory and Leadership Camps are open to boys and girls in grades 8 through 12. Potential campers can select from three camps: U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy and U.S. Military Academy, all held near the respective service academies. All three camps divide cadets into small groups and emphasize leadership education, fitness and how to get into a military academy. Cadets also partake in activities that include horseback riding, laser tag and indoor sky diving. Day trips to local monuments and attractions are also included in the camps.
