    • 1

In the local telephone directory, there are brightly colored sections in the front. Locate the section designated for those who are new in town. (In the AT&T Real Yellow Pages directory, the section is labeled "Newcomer".)

    • 2

Find the listing of schools by county or parish. There will a phone number for the school board office with the listing.

    • 3

Give your address to the school board personnel, and they can tell you the locations of the nearest elementary, middle and high schools in your area.

    • 4

You will also find a website address with the listing in the AT&T Real Yellow Pages directory. If you have Internet access, you can e-mail the school board office or search the website for schools according to your location in the city.
