How to Make a Snack Schedule

Any time your kids are a part of an extracurricular activity, there is a chance snacks will be required. Whether it is the football team or a men's chorus, extracurricular activities keep kids at school long after normal hours. A light snack can provide kids with much-needed sustenance and help keep them focused on the task at hand. You can split the responsibilities of keeping kids fed by creating a snack schedule.

Instructions

    • 1

Meet with the parents of other children to establish whether a snack schedule would be appropriate. If other parents are not willing to participate, the schedule will be useless.

    • 2

Create a sign-up sheet either on your computer or on a pad of paper. Include spaces for the date of snack delivery, the child's name, the parent's name, and a contact number to help verify that snacks are on schedule.

    • 3

Put any special dietary needs in bold print at the top of the completed list. For instance, if a child has a severe peanut allergy, parents should have that information before they begin making snacks.

    • 4

Print copies of the filled-out snack schedule and give them to the parents involved so they can keep track of their snack days. It is also a good idea to remind parents a couple of days ahead of time.
