Go to the website of the Virginia state government.
Click on "Education" from the left-hand menu underneath "Information."
Click on "Parent Links" from the horizontal menu toward the top of the web page.
Scroll down the list of links until you find "Standards of Learning" on the right-hand side. Click on it.
Scroll down to the link labeled "Virginia Standards of Learning & Common Core State Standards." Click on it.
Click on the link labeled "Assessment & Achievement Data" on the left-hand menu underneath the heading "Virginia Assessment Program."
Click on the link labeled "Customized student achievement reports" underneath the heading "Current Information."
Select the school year for which you wish to see a report, followed by the reporting level. The reporting level indicates whether you wish to see a report for a specific school, a division or the entire state.
Select the school division from the next menu, unless you selected "school" or "state" from the "reporting level" menu. If you opted to view a division, the next menu, "school" is disabled. Otherwise, select the school you wish to examine.
Select a student subgroup, if desired. Subgroups available include ethnicity, male or female, economically disadvantaged and students with disabilities. Select "All Subgroups" if you do not wish to view just one certain subgroup.
Select the subject area, specific tests and grade levels from the next three menus. Select "All" at the top of each menu if you do not wish to view specific categories.
Use the "Statistics" menu to specify whether you wish to view the number of students who have passed in certain areas, those who have failed or those who are currently taking a certain subject. Otherwise, select "All." Click on "View Report" to examine your selected SOL scores.
