How to Make Name Badges From Self Adhesive Stickers

Name badges identify who you are to a group of people and are essential in environments where you need to address individuals by name, such as a work orientation. Name labels are also useful in education, such as at the beginning of the school year when teachers haven't yet learned everyone's names. A convenient way to create name labels is to use self-adhesive stickers, which easily peel off the label and stick onto clothing.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Microsoft Word, then click the "Mailings" tab and select "Labels."

    • 2

Click the "Labels" tab, then click in the lower right section of the box under the "Label" subheading to modify your label options.

    • 3

Select the label vendor from the "Label Vendors" drop-down menu. Choose the product number from the left menu, then click "OK" to confirm your changes.

    • 4

Click "New Document" from the label options to display a new document with the same template as your name labels.

    • 5

Type each name into an empty space in the table. Adjust the font size and type to make the names fit appropriately without being too small or large.

    • 6

Click "File," then select "Print" to print your labels. You might want to print the first sheet out on a plain sheet of paper first to ensure you are happy with the results and don't waste your labels.
