Cover the entire bulletin board with background paper of your choice. Cut letters to spell "Jesus Loves the Little Children of the World." Staple a globe cutout in the center of the board. Around the globe, tape or staple photos of each child who regularly comes to the nursery.
Cover the bulletin board with sky blue paper (top portion) and green paper (bottom portion). Staple a cutout of Jesus or a shepherd in the center of the board. Cut out a sheep shape (die cut shapes work well if you would like to avoid all that cutting). Write the name of a nursery child on each (or attach a photo to each). Cotton balls can be added to the sheep for added visual and tactile interest.
For a cute spring bulletin board theme, cover the board's top portion with blue background paper and the bottom with green paper. Cut a flower shape for each child who attends the nursery and attach these to the board. Tape a photo to the blossom part of each flower for a display of your church nursery's "blooming babies."
One Christmas bulletin board idea is to cover the board with dark blue paper to resemble a night sky. Fasten a paper nativity scene to the lower part of the board, and add angel die cuts to the sky. Label each angel with the name of a child in the nursery (or a photo). Finish the board by adding a glitter-decorated star in the center top.
Cut the slogan "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" out of paper and attach it to the board. Ask nursery workers to help the nursery children who are old enough to make hand prints on paper (either by tracing hands or by painting hands and making prints) and cutting them out. Arrange the children's hand prints around the board's slogan.
