How to Teach Preschoolers with Letter B Activities

Letter B activities are a great way to teach preschoolers letter recognition. Most of the letter B activities mentioned here pertain specifically to that letter. However, some of them can be adapted to teach letter recognition for all letters of the alphabet.

Instructions

    • 1

Print a letter B template for learning activities. Use one of the letter B templates to create a collage. Color the letter B. Surround the letter with pictures of things that start with the letter B.

    • 2

Bake brownies or banana bread. Kids love helping in the kitchen. This can double as a math lesson if the kids help measure.

    • 3

Blow bubbles. This makes a great outdoor activity if the weather is nice. As an alternative, allow kids to blow bubbles in the bath.

    • 4

Play with balloons. Blow up balloons and let the kids play with them. Play a game to see who can keep their balloon off the floor the longest by hitting it up in the air.

    • 5

Set up a bath for dolls or other toys that can get wet. Play with toy boats while you have the water out.

    • 6

Make a bean collage. Provide dry beans of different colors and sizes. Let the kids glue the beans on paper. You can make a letter B in glue on the paper and let them put the beans on to make a bean b.

    • 7

Eat snacks that start with the letter B such as bagels, bananas, and brownies.
