  1. Earth Paint and Fire

    • Earth Paint and Fire is a hands-on pottery studio that welcomes walk-ins and young children. When guests arrive at the studio, they can choose from among hundreds of clay and ceramic pieces that they would like to paint. Paints, brushes, stencils, sponges, glazes and other supplies are all provided and included in the price and the studio fires each piece in a kiln when it's finished. After a few days of drying, the finished pieces will be durable and ready for pick-up. One-on-one instruction is also offered. Painting pottery at Woodstock's own Earth Paint and Fire is a suitable teaching activity for children ages 4 and older who are interested in art.

    The Jolley Education Center

    • As part of the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History, the Jolley Education Center is a child-friendly facility dedicated to teaching regional history and the story of the nation's railway system. Interactive exhibits at the center include a child-sized 19th Century replica village, telegraph stations where children can communicate in Morse Code and a simulator that lets kids experience the thrill of conducting a diesel locomotive. There is also a separate room full of toys and activities designed just for children under the age of 5. The Jolley Education Center is located just under eight miles southwest of Woodstock in Kennesaw, Georgia.

    The World of Coca-Cola

    • The nearby World of Coca-Cola is a huge facility that draws in visitors both as a vacation destination and a unique learning opportunity. Visitors can study a fully-functioning bottling operation to learn about each step in the assembly line, and discover how advances in technology have led to changes at Coca-Cola over the years. By tasting and learning about Coke products marketed all over the world, young students can learn about cross-cultural differences and far-away lands. Other exhibits include Coca-Cola inspired art, music and pop culture and a thrilling 4-D movie theater. The World of Coca-Cola is located 24 miles south of Woodstock in Atlanta, Georgia.
