The Math Playground website has more than 20 math games that focus on middle-school to high-school-level math. All of the math games on the site are free, but they do require Adobe Flash Player to run on your computer. The pre-algebra game "The X Detectives" introduces graphing concepts such as symmetry, translation and rotation while kids engage in solving a crime mystery. "Guide the Gecko" helps children understand fractions, and "Percent Shopping" teaches percentage concepts.

"Catch the Fly" introduces graphing and coordinates by having students help a frog catch a fly by directing him to the correct spot on the graph. "Number Cop" introduces divisibility, "Algebra vs. the Cockroaches" is another graphing game that pits students against cockroaches and "Factortris" is based on the game "Tetris" and teaches about factoring.
The FunBrain website offers games for students in preschool through high school in all subject matters. All of the games are free, though some require registration. Middle-school math games cover fractions, decimals and algebra. "Double Fun Match" is a memory game that requires students to match fractions with their decimal counterpart. The game has four degrees of difficulty to accommodate different skill levels. "Guess the Number Plus" focuses on all math concepts from addition to multiplication of whole numbers, positive and negative numbers. "Math Baseball" also covers all math concepts up to algebra and can be played by one or two players. The harder the question is, the farther the player advances around the bases.
