Spanish Reading Games

The second language that United States citizens are choosing to learn is Spanish, according to the IMAC Spanish Language Programs website. Approximately 400 million people throughout the world speak Spanish, making it the second most used language behind English. In the United States, employers are looking for those who are fluent in both languages. It is never too soon to start teaching your child Spanish, especially when reading games can help facilitate learning.

    • This game is ideal for teaching children or the whole family about the Spanish language. It comes in both English and Spanish text for easy direction following, and includes a Spanish and English dictionary.     • Children ages 7 and older that are bilingual, Spanish- or English- speaking can all benefit from this game. Children must build "silly sentences" by collecting words around the park. Whoever follows the path to the fountain wins the game. Silly Sentences teaches children about Spanish sentence structure, parts of speech identification, verb conjugation, number agreement and the gender of nouns. This game includes a dual language guide, a 16-inch game board, 150 Parts of Speech game cards, one die and four pawns.
