Place the article title within quotations in the sentence. For example, "The article 'Characters Or Plot' explores the balance of what makes a story move forward."
Capitalize the first letter of the first and last word in the article title. The Modern Language Association style typically forgoes capitalizing prepositions and articles but capitalizes nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs. Many other writing styles call for capitalization of any word longer than three letters.
Capitalize the first letter of each word for short titles. For instance, "Coming To America."
