The camp includes students from kindergarten through eighth grade.
The Cranbrook School system in Bloomfield Hills, 30 minutes east of Walled Lake, runs a day camp for Cranbrook students and other young people who wish to attend their arts day camp. The Cranbrook Theatre School's day camp gives participants an overview of theatre skills, with a junior division day camp for children entering the third through fifth grades and a second group for children entering the sixth through eighth grades. The senior division Theatre School runs a camp for students entering grades nine through the end of high school. Cranbrook's Summer Jazz Ensemble gives participants an opportunity to study their instruments in small groups, with day camp sessions for children entering grades six through 10.
The Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit operates a day camp network for children from toddlers through elementary school. The center, located in West Bloomfield, 14 minutes from Walled Lake, employs a professional staff of educators who organize cultural, art and sports activities for participants. The camp runs through the Jewish Center and honors Jewish traditions and Jewish culture, but includes children of all faiths in its day camp program. Children at the camp enjoy swim time at the center's pool.
