Wyoming Oil Drilling Schools

While it is possible to get hired in the oil industry without training, your odds increase if you have it. For newcomers, some companies offer training programs such as Nabor's Drilling. Hands-on job training is available at schools such as McMurry Regional Training Center, which includes Occupational Safety and Health Administration certification. If you're interested in the engineering side of the industry, a degree will be necessary, such as what Casper College offers.

    • According to the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, oil rigs typically operate 24 hours every day with six men to a crew and two crews to a rig. As the oil and gas industry expands and retirement increases, the demand for workers should increase.
