Visit the administrative offices Austin Community College. Inform a representative that you desire to take the GED examination. Show the representative two valid forms of identification, one of which --- a driver's license, for example --- shows you currently reside in Texas.
Ask the representative for both a GED demographic form and a GED registration card form. Complete both forms in full. Request any additional forms or information packets --- the GED handbook, for example --- you may need. Complete all necessary forms and return them all to the representative. Set a testing date.
Refer to the GED handbook for study and test-taking advice. Study all subjects necessary --- English and mathematics, for example --- to complete all five portions of the test. Arrive at the testing facility on time. Present two current forms of identification and the $95 examination fee before taking the test.
Contact the Texas Education Agency --- located in Austin ---- at 1-512-463-9734 with additional questions or to obtain re-testing information.
