How to Postpone a CCNA Test

You've registered to take the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) test, and now all that's left to do is to study and take the exam. Well, life happens, and when it does, sometimes schedules have to be adjusted to make way for life to do what it needs to do. Perhaps you want to study more or you've had a family emergency. Regardless of the reason, when life interrupts your plans and makes it necessary to postpone a CCNA test, there are ways to reschedule it.

  1. If Taking Test at a Testing Center

      If testing at a center, the CCNA test can be rescheduled online.

      Log in to your account on the testing website you registered with. You can register and pay for a CCNA test online through various companies. The tests are taken at testing centers in your area. You can register for the CCNA test at pearsonvue.com or prometric.com.

      Select the "Reschedule a Test" option on your account page. If you reschedule with enough notice, often at least 10 days in advance, there usually isn't a fee to postpone your registration. However, some companies charge a fee no matter when you reschedule.

      Select a new test date and click "Submit," or select "Cancel Registration." Selecting a new date is the easiest option because there's less risk that you'll lose any portion of your registration fee.

      Print a copy of your registration for your records. Having a hard copy of your registration or cancellation is always a good idea for record keeping.

    If Attending Training Camp

      Call in to postpone your attendance. Calling in allows the company to transfer your current registration to a different date immediately.

      Give the representative your account information.

      Choose from the available camp dates.

      Pay fees if necessary and record your confirmation number.
