How to Test Cisco CCNA

CCNA stands for "Cisco Certified Network Associate." This networking certification is distributed by the networking company Cisco and measures the competency of an administrator in installing, configuring, troubleshooting and operating medium-sized networks. Taking Cisco's CCNA exam requires that you understand Internet Protocol, routing protocols, networking fundamentals and router configurations. You can sign up for the CCNA exam on Cisco's website. You must pass either exam #640-802, or pass both exam #640-822 and exam #640-816 to get CCNA certification.

      Visit the Pearson Vue link included in the Resources section. Pearson Vue proctors Cisco's examinations at locations all over the world.

      Select your Country from the drop-down list and provide your address and postal code details. Click "Search."

      Click the name of the test location you would like to visit to take your CCNA exam.

      Call the testing center and schedule the examination or examinations.

      Visit the Cisco CCNA site included in the References section. Click the name of your exam for study guides, practice tests and detailed exam policies.

      Practice for your exam. You may wish to enroll in a course from the Cisco website or purchase a CCNA book.
