How to Earn an ESL Certificate

Many programs offer ESL certification. Internationally recognized ESL certification programs include TESOL, TESL, TEFL and CELTA. While these programs implement slightly different theory, they are all highly regarded. TESOL stands for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, TESL stands for Teaching English as a Second Language, TEFL stands for Teaching English as Foreign Language, and CELTA stands for Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults. All of these certifications can be obtained through online programs, hybrid programs and traditional classroom programs.
