Consult with your physician before treatment. Not everyone is eligible for this treatment, so it is important to find out whether you fall into this category or not. Groups of persons not permitted to undergo the treatment are breast-feeding mothers, expectant women, those suffering from allergic reactions to skin peels and sun burns/bursts and those who have undergone cancer treatment.
Adapt the use of PCA products to prepare your skin for treatment and to increase the chances of success of the treatment. This is not a compulsory requirement. A fortnight before the treatment you are discouraged from taking part in certain activities that may interfere with the procedure. These include body-tan and botox injections. Consult your doctor for further advice.
Keep your appointment on the day of treatment and if there are any reasons why you cannot attend the procedure, ensure that you communicate this information in time. You will be given a Daily Care Regimen sheet at the time of the treatment. Follow the instructions on the sheet carefully as this determines the success of the treatment.
Minimize the use of makeup after treatment and if you find any need for it, ensure that it is neither too acidic nor too basic. Beware of the side effects of the treatment such as the reddening of the skin, dryness or shedding of skin. Do not tear at the skin but allow it to peel off by itself.
