How to Build Your Own Sports Car Game

Building a sports car game can be done in several different ways. One of the most enjoyable ways to build a sports car game is with radio controlled cars. When you use radio controlled cars, you can race them through different courses and record the time it takes to get through the race track. With a few pylons you can also create different race track layouts for your sports car to twist and turn through. For even more fun, set up small scale models of houses, buildings and make streets for your sports car to drive around on.

Instructions

    • 1

Sketch the race track routes you want to race your radio controlled cars through on a piece of paper. Use a scale of 10 feet per inch. Draw a figure eight that is 8 inches high and 4 inches wide. Mark X's on the paper where pylons are to be placed. Place eight pylon marks on the figure eight such that the pylons will clearly define the route the sports car are supposed to take.

    • 2

Find a safe place to set up your race track. Use a school playground on the weekends if you want to avoid crowds and real cars. Use a commercial radio controlled track if one is available in your town.

    • 3

Mark off a rectangle that is 80 feet long and 40 feet wide in the playground. Place your pylons within the rectangle so that they match the position you assigned them in the sketch. Mark off the start and finish line on the ground with chalk.

    • 4

Place your toy sports car on the ground. Start your stop watch and set your remote controller to drive. Record the time it takes you to complete the figure-eight course. Rearrange your track with the pylons and place some model houses and buildings to form a street. Race your car around the new layout and record your time.
