Pick the department you want to work for. If you have a specific job you’d like to do (cook, greet guests or work as a Disney character), you can contact the Casting office and ask if any positions are available for that job. The better bet though, is to be open for a few different jobs or departments. If you don’t land your dream job right away, there’s always a chance you can move up to it.

Look for their open auditions to be in the parades or be a character. These jobs are a little different than the other jobs at the park. If you want to be a dancer in the parades or be Cinderella, Dopey or any other Disney characters walking around the park, you’ll have to audition with many other hopefuls for the job. Disneyland holds these auditions multiple times a year to fill positions that are open, so be on the lookout.

Prepare for your interview and have the right appearance. Workers at Disneyland are well groomed and very wholesome-looking. Take piercings out, cover up tattoos and make sure your hair is a natural color. Basically, look natural. Disneyland is big on appearance for their employees, so you’ve got to look the part. Think about answers to questions ahead of time and practice before the interview.

Make sure you’re comfortable talking to anyone and everyone. During your interview, you’ll want to answer all questions comfortably. When working at Disneyland, you’ll be talking to guests all day, from every corner of the world and you’ll need tons of people skills. Show your best personality and social skills to the interviewers.

Prepare to smile a lot and look happy all the time. Since Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth, the employees that work there are expected to show that. You’ll need to smile constantly and look like you’re loving life. This is also important for the interview, so do your best. Soon enough, you'll land a job working at Disneyland, the Magic Kingdom.
