Sleep Technologist Schools

Sleep technologist schools will prepare you to work in the field of polysomnography, treating patients with sleep disorders. Sleep technologists, with education and experience, can become Registered Polysomnographic Technologists once they pass an exam given by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT). Sleep technologists typically work a 10- to 12-hour night shift, so be sure this schedule fits your lifestyle before enrolling in a polysomnography school.

If you already have experience as a sleep technologist, you can take one of four modules offered to further your sleep disorder studies. These online modules include such topics as patient interaction and professional behavior, patient assessment, sleep related breathing disorders and pediatric sleep.
