Excel High School was accredited in 2005 by the National Private School Accreditation Group. Excel offers an online high school equivalency program (HSED) as well as an online high school program. The HSED program is similar to a GED program. Students enrolled in the HSED program study the core subjects of mathematics, science, English, social studies, English literature, and English essay writing. Students must complete the HSED program within 6 months. In order to graduate, students must write a 250-word essay and must pass online, timed examinations in each core subject with a score of no less than 70 percent. Students who complete the HSED program receive a high school diploma.
