Insight Schools programs are available in eight states across the United States, including Washington, Colorado and Wisconsin. The tuition-free program is tantamount to a public high school education and affords students more than 120 courses to choose from. Foundation, elective and honors classes are all available, as are Advanced Placement courses. All full-time students are issued a laptop and printer to use for the duration of their education. All courses are completed online and technical help is available 24 hours a day. Academic support is also provided in secure, online classroom settings. A diploma is issued by the participating local school district in the student's home state.

Minnesota Virtual High School is a free education program offered to Minnesota students by the Minnesota Transitions Charter School. All coursework is completed online and academic support is available from Minnesota-certified teachers via phone, email and instant messaging. Curriculum is offered in the areas of language arts, mathematics and world languages, among others. Advanced Placement courses are also available. To attend full-time, students should expect to take at least five classes in the fall and five in the spring. A diploma is issued by the Minnesota Transitions Charter School.

Choice 2000 Online Charter School awards diplomas to students in five southern California counties, including San Diego, Riverside and Orange. The online public high school holds virtual classes during the day; students are expected to participate online during the designated class times. Homework is expected to be turned in online, and students take all exams via the Internet. Choice 2000 Online Charter School has several learning tracks available to students, including traditional, early graduation and community college concurrent enrollment. A diploma is issued by the Perris Union High School District.
