Students will be trained well enough in the classroom to pass the written test needed to gain their Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and will also gain hands-on truck driving experience in the field as well. While driving large trucks under the supervision and guidance of Smith & Solomon's driving instructors, students will perform specific truck driving maneuvers like parallel parking, making U-turns and other skilled truck driving techniques.

• Providing a good variety of truck driving training programs that will help students attain their CDL license, the Ideal Driving School features a tractor-trailer program along with a straight truck driving course as well. This school is located in Fords, New Jersey, and all truck driving instructors are fully licensed professionals with years of experience. The straight truck driving course is just over eight weeks long and instructs students on box truck driving as well as straight truck driving. The tractor-trailer truck driving course is also just over eight weeks long and students are taken out onto New Jersey roads, where they will be allowed to drive these larger trucks under the guidance of the professional instructors.

• Located in Linden, New Jersey, Winsor's Tractor Trailer Driving School features both basic and advanced training in driving flatbed trucks, tractor-trailers and drive trailers as well. Winsor's also contains state-of-the-art truck driving simulators that instruct students on advanced truck driving techniques before they even venture out into the New Jersey freeways for hands-on training. The main truck driving program features three separate phases for the students to pass through, including the road instruction phase that instructs students on double clutching techniques, left- and right-hand turn maneuvers, traffic merging and proper speed control while driving downhill.
