The University of North Carolina has an executive management program that is designed to provide directors and managers with the knowledge and training needed in order to take the next step in strategic leadership. This program lasts for two weeks and as of June, 2010, the tuition is $16,000. In this program, participants must have at least five years of experience and will cover topics that include strategy formulation, implementation and measurement; managerial leadership and effective change movement; effective marketing and the delivery of service excellence; managerial financial analysis; strategic financial management; and strategic management of operations.

The University of Pennsylvania has an executive management program that takes place in Tokyo, Japan for two weeks. As of June, 2010, the cost of tuition is $15,000. This program was developed in a joint venture between Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and the Hitachi Institute of Management Development. This program consists of three modules: module one is designed to acquire management skills, knowledge and perspectives; module two is designed to integrate, internalize and apply what you have learned from module one; and model three is designed to promote active communication and exchange between diverse individuals and to build an effective community for learning.

The University of Washington has an executive management program that lasts for two weeks and requires senior-level managers to be in-residence to train for advanced leadership and management. As of June, 2010, the cost of tuition is $6,400. This program focuses on both personal and professional strengths by acquiring communication skills, addressing issues in the big picture, gaining competencies and receiving feedback and engaging in constructive self critique from faculty. This program covers four topics over the course of two weeks that include leadership sessions, communication sessions, finance and accountability sessions and management sessions. Upon graduation, students will receive a certificate of completion.
