    • The master bartending course at DrinkMaster Bartending School is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education.     San Francisco School of Bartending

    • Graduates of the San Francisco School of Bartending earn bartender certification that is recognized nationwide, according to the school's website. The school is licensed by California's state Education Department. The bartending course covers bar setup, customer service, cash register use and 150 drink recipes. Students receive a training manual, job placement services and free refresher courses. A free introductory class is also available to prospective students.

    The Professional Bartending School

    • The Professional Bartending School offers a 40-hour course that prepares students to work in bars, hotels and nightclubs. The program can be completed on a one-, two- or five-week schedule. Topics include bar setup, liquor types, money handling and bottle flipping.

      Graduates receive certification from the Techniques of Alcohol Management program. TAM teaches bartenders responsible alcohol service techniques that help to reduce alcohol-related accidents and avoid sales of alcohol to minors. Job placement assistance is also provided to graduates of the bartending program.
