Engineers & SolidWorks Training

SolidWorks is a 3D computer aided design, or CAD, software tool for engineers and designers to create, simulate, publish and manage data. The company was founded in December 1993 and is based in Concord, Massachusetts.
  1. Training

    • SolidWorks offers a variety of training courses designed to increase the uses for its software. SolidWorks recommends that engineers who are not involved in finite analysis of the design process can focus on the SolidWorks Simulation software suite.

    Length

    • Courses offered by SolidWorks for its software range from one day to four days in length. For example, the training for SolidWorks Routing, which engineers use to model sub-assembly paths of pipes, tubes and cables between components, takes three and a half days of training, while SolidWorks Sheet Metal training lasts for only one day.

    3-D

    • SolidWorks mechanical CAD software offers 3-D modeling design within its package of software. Other SolidWorks training programs include SolidWorks Drawings, Assembly Modeling and Mold Design using SolidWorks.
