Located in Midvale, Utah, Color My Nails School of Nail Technology is Utah's only accredited nail school, having earned accreditation through the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences. The school's 300 credit-hour program includes instruction on the topics of aroma-therapy and spa treatments; water, french, spa and hot oil manicures; and detailed guidance in maintaining safety and sanitation. Business skills are also taught and include instruction on retailing, client retention and the importance of maintaining proper records. Full and part-time classes are available, and financial aid is available for students who qualify.
International Academy is based out of South Daytona, Florida. It offers full-time and part-time programs in nail technology. It also prepares its students to obtain their nail technologist licensure through the state of Florida. Course work consists of 240 clock hours of instruction on topics such as artificial and acrylic nail application, manicuring, pedicuring and nail wrapping. Students also receive instruction in customer service, salon management and personal ethics in the work place. International Academy accepts various tuition assistance programs, such as federal student loans and Pell grants, military educational benefits and employer-paid tuition assistance.
Located in Knoxville, Tennessee, the Tennessee School of Beauty offers a nail technician program that can be completed in as little as 16 weeks. The nail technician program consists of 600 clock hours of training and includes instruction in basic, french, hot oil and paraffin manicures in addition to the application of acrylic and sculpted nails. Students also receive training in business management and how to go about opening their own salon. Full-time and part-time class schedules are available; Sallie Mae student loans are available for student that qualify.
Located in the heart of Birmingham, Alabama, the School of Nail Technology offers full-time, part-time and evening classes in nail technology. Students will receive 750 hours of classroom and clinical training on topics, including nail product chemistry; anatomy and physiology; bacteria and infectious agents control; and acrylic nail application and nail design. The school of Nail Technology also offers 10 hour refresher courses for nail technicians that are already working in the field of nail design. All students who successfully complete the program will receive a graduation diploma in recognition of their training and be eligible to sit for their Alabama nail technologist license.
