The Saint Anne Training Center is located within a long-term nursing facility. Saint Anne provides training for aspiring nursing assistants. Classes are held in the morning and afternoon. The two programs at Saint Anne either require 75 or 120 nursing assistant training hours. At the conclusion of the program, candidates with 120 training hours qualify to take the Minnesota state examination for certified nursing assistants.
Southeast Technical College is the largest vocational college in Winona. Training programs range from automotive technology to jewelry repair to medical transcription. In addition to courses on campus, Southeast provides classes via distance learning. After participants receive their diploma, graduates may look for entry level work in their field of study.
Saint Mary's is a traditional Catholic university in Winona. Academic undergraduate and graduate degree programs form the base curriculum for St. Mary's. However, it offers a few professional certificate programs open to the general public: geospatial technology, pastoral administration and pastoral ministries. You won't find certificate programs like these at any other school in Winona.
Western Technical College is located 30 minutes away from Winona in La Crosse, Wisconsin. WTC offers a plethora of vocation studies: agriculture,graphic design, business, information technology, engineering, health and mechanical programs. WTC has a student residence hall and provides off-campus housing assistance.
