Gather the young women and come to an agreement about what type of fundraiser you want to hold. Options include bake sales, car washes or benefit concerts.
Select a date. Avoid scheduling the fundraiser during exam weeks when studying keeps students busy. Try scheduling the fundraiser for the start of the semester when students are fresh and full of energy.
Create promotional fliers by contacting your local print shop and asking the staff to design a flier for you. If one of your sisters has graphic design skills, recruit her to create the flier. Be sure to include the date, your sorority's name, a description of the event and how you will use the money.
Hang the fliers around campus in school buildings and off-campus, in places such as self-service laundries and cafes. If your school has a newspaper, place a news brief in the paper by e-mailing the fundraiser information to the editor. If your school has a radio station, contact someone there to ask if you can talk on the radio to publicize your event.
Post a notice about the event on the sorority's website and Twitter feed. Also make sure individual sorority members post notices on their Facebook pages and any other social media sites.
Purchase materials for your fundraiser. For example, buy soap, sponges and buckets if you're having a car wash. Ask the store manager if the store will donate materials since they're for a fundraiser.
