How to Replace a West Point Class Ring

Almost every high school and college offers a class ring for its graduating seniors. The practice is believed to have been started in 1835 at the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point, commonly referred to as West Point. The USMA class ring has been worn by military men, such as former president General Dwight Eisenhower and General Douglas MacArthur.

However, even a ring this prestigious sometimes gets lost by its wearers. The West Point Association of Graduates, the alumni association for the college, has set up a process to ensure every West Point graduate has his ring to proudly show off all of his life.

Report your ring missing before your replace it. The West Point Association of Graduates collects data on lost and found class rings on the website. This ensures you do not replace a ring that has already been found. Reports can be made to the director of the class support system. As of 2010, the director is Joel Jebb, who can be reached at [email protected]. Information on who to reach is available on the Association of Graduates website by clicking "Services" at the top of the home page, then "Class Rings" on the left side of the WPAOG Services page.
