Go to the Jostens website, which offers the ability to custom design a college ring. There are many companies on the web that offer college rings, but Jostens has an enormous selection of customization options. On the main page, click on the link at the top called "Rings & Jewelry." Once the new page loads, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and select the option for college rings.
Enter in your college name, and select the country where the college is located. Once selected, you can then chose the ring style that you want. There are 19 different ring designs, each one unique and stylish. Once you make your selection, you will be taken to a new screen that displays the ring selection close-up. If you are satisfied with the style, click on the link entitled "Design It."
Select the metal type and metal finish that you would like for the college ring. For metal types, you can chose from gold, silver, platinum, and Lustrium. Each metal type is priced differently, gold being the most expensive. You can chose form an antique finish, which has shadowing and will show off the designs in the ring, or a natural finish, which contains no shadowing. Once you have made your selections, click on "Next" at the bottom of the screen.
Chose the gemstone that will be on the top of the college ring. There are 16 stones to chose from, including one representing each birth month. Once selected, click "Next" to select from 4 different stone cuts. Each stone cut looks very different, including the Premier, Sunburst, India and Quadra. Click "Next" to go to the next set of choices.
Chose the ring size, and select the images that will be on either side of the ring. There are hundreds of majors and minors that can be selected, so find the images that suit you best. Once you are finished, click on "Complete." Now you can review all of the selections you made, and make sure that there are no errors. When finished, click on "Add to Cart" to order your customized college ring.
