  1. Dallas Baptist University

    • Dallas Baptist, which is affiliated through denomination with the Baptist General Convention of Texas, is located on a 293-acre campus in southwest Dallas. The liberal arts college offers 63 undergraduate programs, 14 accelerated bachelor's and master's programs, 20 master's programs and doctoral degrees in educational leadership and leadership.

    Dallas Community College

    • Dallas Community College has several locations throughout Dallas County, including Brookhaven College, Cedar Valley College, Eastfield College, El Centro College, Mountain View College, North Lake College, Richland College and Dallas TeleCollege. It serves about 95,000 credit and continuing education students and offers both two-year degrees and courses that transfer to four-year institutions.

    Southern Methodist University

    • SMU is located near the center of Dallas and is a private university with an enrollment of about 11,000. It offers degree programs in the humanities and sciences; business; the performing, visual, and communication arts; engineering; education and human development; law; and theology. The university has 10 libraries and is home to the Meadows Museum, which houses a large collection of Spanish art.

    Tarrant County College

    • Tarrant County College is a two-year institution with more than 45,000 students attending five campuses located in Hurst, Fort Worth and Arlington. The school is the sixth largest among Texas colleges and universities and offers a variety of associate degrees and technical programs. TCC offers associate degrees in arts, science, arts in teaching and applied science as well as certificates of completion and continuing education. Its programs cover more than 80 technical and transfer areas.

    Texas Christian University

    • Home of the Horned Frog, TCU has about 9,200 students enrolled in 118 undergraduate areas, 56 master's level program and 21 doctoral areas of study. The private university is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The school was founded in 1853 in Thorp Spring and relocated to Fort Worth in 1911.
