How to Get Inducted Into Phi Beta Kappa (PBK)

Phi Beta Kappa, founded in 1776, is the oldest academic honor society in the United States. It has more than 500,000 members in 280 chapters in colleges and universities throughout the country. Students cannot apply for membership in Phi Betta Kappa. They must be recommended by the membership committee of the chapter at their school. Increase your odds of becoming a Phi Betta Kappa member by excelling in a wide variety of liberal arts and science classes.
