To be admitted to Berkeley College, you will need to have graduated from high school and hold a diploma, or have passed an equivalent qualifying test, such as the General Educational Development (GED) test. The college will need to see proof of this requirement as part of the admission process.
Berkeley College recommends that prospective students undertake a visit before they submit their application. Find out which campus hosts your preferred course of study, then contact the relevant Director of Admissions to request a meeting with an admissions counselor. Be ready to talk about your career aspirations and what you hope to gain from studying at Berkeley.
Obtain the application form for admission. This can be done using Berkeley's online application system, or by downloading the form in PDF format and filling it in by hand. This must be sent to the college, along with an application fee of $50.
The Berkeley admission form, when downloaded as a PDF, is a two-page document. You are required to indicate your intended student status, which could be full-time or part-time, daytime or evenings and weekends, or online. If you are a candidate for transfer from another educational institution, there is a box to check to declare this. You will need to fill in sections disclosing basic details, such as your name, address, contact information and social security number. The form asks which campus location you are applying to attend, whether you intend to live on campus and whether you are eligible for Tuition Reimbursement, as some companies agree to pay employees' tuition fees. You will then need to list the high schools and colleges you have attended. On page two, check the box next to your intended course of study and then move on to the Optional Information section, which Berkeley encourage candidates to fill in. This section canvasses data including the candidate's ethnic background and U.S. citizenship. It has no bearing on the success of the application. Finally, remember to date and sign the application once you have filled it out before sending it to the Central Admissions Office at Berkeley College.
