Decide whether you need a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree. A Bachelor of Science degree will require taking more courses in your specific field. A Bachelor of Arts focuses on a more well-rounded background. Know what is required in your chosen field.
Talk to your counselor to determine what type of job you can get with a B.A. in Science. Realize you probably will need a B.S. if you know you want to go the technical route. For example, you will need a B.S. if you want to work as a chemist, but you could get a B.A. in mathematics and still be a math teacher.
Pick interdisciplinary courses. Take many of the same courses required for a B.S. degree while choosing a variety of electives.
Make sure you are on track to graduate. Meet with your preceptor or college counselor at the end of your junior year to ensure that all the courses you need to graduate are available your senior year.
