Yonsei University, also located in the suburbs of Seoul, is the oldest private university in Korea. The university was founded in 1885 by Christian missionaries. Yonsei features 22 colleges, 18 graduate schools and 133 subsidiary institutions. As of April 1, 2009, Yonsei University had a total of 29,951 students, 18, 824 undergraduates and 11,127 graduate students. Academic programs at Yonsei include business, science, engineering, liberal arts, law, music, medicine, government, theology, international studies and human ecology. Pusan National University is located in Busan (also known as Pusan), Korea, a global port city with a population of about 3.6 million people, according to the Busan government. For undergraduate students, the university features 15 colleges offering 99 majors, as well as the Division of Sport Science. Graduate students at Pusan National University have a choice of 93 master’s degree programs and 73 graduate degree programs. The university was founded in May 1946 with two colleges.
