How to Remove Lauric Acid From Coconut Oil

Lauric acid is the main component of lauric oils like coconut oil and palm kernel oil. Lauric acid constitutes almost 50 percent of the total oil content. It is antibacterial, anti-oxidant and an antiviral. Owing to its medical and industrial use lauric acid is removed from the parent oil before reaching market. Cooling is the best way to separate Lauric acid since the melting point of lauric acid is 44 degrees.
