International Vocational Schools

Vocational schools include trade careers like carpentry, welding and hair dressing, and some offer a variety of courses with a syllabus similar to baccalaureate degrees. Vocational education can also be taken online through international vocational schools whose aim is to bring together and enhance vocational ideas and skills from all over the globe.
  1. Colombo Plan Staff College for Technical Education

    • CPSC aims to enhance the technical vocational education in Asia. In 2008, the organization had 17 member countries linked together through international workshops and conventions online. Each country has local training programs.

CPSC provides complete reports on recent seminars and symposiums through their website. The number of In-Country Programs (ICP) in a member country depends on the number of accepted training proposals, while Regional Programs (RP) occur six times a year.

International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training

    • UNESCO-UNEVOC's TVET institution has centers and accredited agencies worldwide. Various summits and seminars are conducted yearly in each member's country. The organization also provides eLearning for individual members. At least one seminar each year is conducted in every member's country.

    International Training Centre

    • The Italy-based ITC offers vocational courses in five regions worldwide. Students are taught in-school or through distance learning.

Training approaches may differ depending on the cultures and laws of the students' home countries. This allows learning methods to be redefined to fit the schedule and learning style of a particular learner.

Note that ITC online learning provides courses relating to business, human resources and other social sciences.

    Penn Foster Career School

    • With more than 40 online vocational programs, Penn Foster Career School guarantees students quality learning in their fields of interest. Programs range from trade courses to creative design and legal studies.

    Lincoln College Online

    • The online classes provided by Lincoln College are student- and subject-centered. Learning is interactive, with students encouraged to participate in discussions and seminars hosted on the school's website. The college offers courses from vocational or certificate packages to bachelor degrees.
