One of 45 institutions that make up the Art Institutes, the Art Institute of Ohio was founded in 2004 and is accredited by the Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools as well as the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology. The college offers Associate of Applied Science programs in a number of media-related fields including Web design and interactive media, graphic design and video production. As part of the International Culinary Schools at the Art Institutes, the college offers a culinary arts program accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation.
Founded in 1986, the Ohio and Illinois Centers for Broadcasting offers diplomas in Radio and Television Broadcasting accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology. With a main campus in Cleveland, Ohio, the school also has branches in Columbus and Cincinnati as well as campuses in Chicago, Illinois and Denver, Colorado. Each campus employs fully equipped TV and radio studios where students learn all aspects of broadcasting over a 10-month program that includes hand-on internships at local stations. The school is a member of the National Association for Broadcasters and offers courses including TV performing, news writing and speaking techniques.
Founded in 1970, the Academy of Court Reporting and Technology is located in Cleveland, Ohio, with a sister campus in Clawson. Established with an emphasis on court reporting, the college also offers programs for paralegals and legal secretaries as well as a security and investigations program, which was added in 2000. The Cleveland campus also offers programs in all areas of the medical and business fields including medical laboratory technology, medical assisting and human resource management. Accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools, programs at the Academy of Court Reporting and Technology are certified by the National Court Reporters Association.
Founded in the early 1800s as the Miami Commercial School, the Miami-Jacobs Career College offers associate's degree programs as well as certificate and diploma programs accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. Established in Dayton, Ohio, the college maintains campuses in Columbus, Sharonville, Springboro and Troy and offers programs in a number of trades including medical assisting, massage therapy, accounting and cosmetology. In 2007, the school opened a campus in Troy with an emphasis on automotive technology that offers both an Associate of Applied Science and an Associate of Applied Business in Automotive Technology.
