NW Ohio Trade Schools

Vocational and trade schools in Northwest Ohio provide high school students and adults with the knowledge and resources to obtain skilled employment without the large investment of time and money needed to get a college degree.   1. PENTA Career Center

    • PENTA Career Center is located in Perrysburg, Ohio, which is southeast of Toledo. PENTA offers a variety of programs for both high school students and adults. Its adult programs include HVAC, refrigeration, welding, automotive technology, collision repairs, certified nurses aid and dietary management training.

      PENTA programs for high school students include all the programs offered to adults, as well as small animal care, landscape management, floral design, carpentry, electricity, masonry, computer-aided design, culinary arts, cosmetology and hair design.

    Vanguard Career Center

    • Vanguard Career Center has three different campuses between Fremont and Tiffin, Ohio. They serve the vocational needs of students and adult learners in Tiffin, Fremont, Clyde, Fostoria, Port Clinton, Upper Sandusky, Seneca, Lakota, Bettsville, Mohawk, Gibsonburg, New Regal, Old Fort and Loudon.

      Vanguard offers training courses for both high school students and adults in a wide variety of trades including technology, business, culinary arts and the medical field. The length of courses, campuses where they are offered and the tuition varies based on the program.

    Healing Arts Institute

    • The Healing Arts Institute, located in Perrysburg, Ohio, offers students complete training in message therapy. Students at the Healing Arts Institute will have the opportunity to earn an Associate of Technical Studies in Massage Therapy, which is recognized by the State Medical Board of Ohio.

      The Healing Arts Institute offers day and evening classes. In addition to offering an associate degree program, it also offer certificate programs and continuing education opportunities for those already in the field of medical massage.

      The Healing Arts Institute also offers scholarships to those who qualify.

    Apollo Career Center

    • Apollo Career Center is located in Lima, Ohio, southwest of Toledo. Similarly to PENTA and Vanguard, Apollo offers a wide variety of classes and programs for both high school students and adult learners. Apollo offers both long-term and short-term programs.

      Some of its educational programs include home inspection, electrician, law enforcement, public safety, truck driving, early child development, technology, automotive, building maintenance, construction, landscape, welding, floral design, graphic design, medical careers, cosmetology, culinary arts, computer programming and administrative office technology.
