Diploma Courses in Materials Management

According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the need for professionals in the field of materials management, sometimes known as logistics management, is expected to increase by 7 percent through 2018. A variety of colleges offer diploma programs in materials management. These programs offer comprehensive studies in logistics and distribution management of durable and non-durable goods.
  1. Albany Technical College

    • Accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Albany Technical College offers an online diploma program in business logistics management. The program consists of core studies in the supervision of employees, customer service, supply chain management and logistics and can typically be completed in under 20 months. To successfully complete the program, students must successfully complete 83 to 88 credit hours of instruction, which can be completed at their own pace. Post-graduate job placement assistance is offered by Albany Technical College and financial aid is available to students who qualify.

    American Military University

    • Located in Charles Town, West Virginia, American Military University offers a certificate diploma in logistics management and is accredited through the Distance Education and Training Council and the Higher Learning Commission. The 18-credit hour course consists of studies in the fields of transportation policies and planning, managing logistics nationally and globally, the economics of transportation and strategic inter-modal transportation. American Military University accepts a variety of government-based tuition assistance programs, and payment plan arrangements are available.

    Cecil College

    • Cecil College, located in the city of North East, Maryland, offers a diploma certificate program in materials management and is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The program consists of 27 credits and includes study in core subjects such as introduction to business and introduction to computer concepts. Students will also receive in-depth instruction in material handling, operations management, materials planning and transportation and distribution. Cecil College offers full- and part-time classes, and financial aid is available to students who qualify.

    Columbus State Community College

    • Located in the heart of Columbus, Ohio, Columbus State Community College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Schools. Columbus State Community College offers a diploma program in supply chain management that can be completed by attending full- or part-time. The program consists of studies in the principals of supply chain management, information technology, foundations in strategic procurement and inventory and warehouse management. Columbus State Community College offers programs to accommodate students with disabilities and offers a variety of financial aid programs for students who qualify.
