The Academy of Heath and Beauty offers classes in English and Vietnamese. Since 2001, the academy has offered courses to help people gain skills in these fields: nails, skin care, permanent make-up, cosmetology, barbering and massage therapy. The academy allows students as young as 16 to enroll. Students must attend classes for a minimum of four days and 24 hours per week. Students wishing to complete their training sooner can attend additional class sessions with instructor permission.

Woody's Hair Styling School opened in 1958. The school is a member of the Florida Cosmetology School and the Better Business Bureau. Students over 16 years of age with a diploma or GED can apply. New classes begin on either the first Monday or Tuesday of the month. Once enrolled, students must log 1,200 hours of instruction and training. Once they graduate, Woody's Hair Styling School students can work in a variety of fields, such as a cosmetologist, salon operator, salon manager, hairstylist, make-up artist, and skin care and nail technician. Students can choose a full- or part-time option. The full-time program---which consists of day classes---can be completed in 30 weeks, and the part-time night-class option can be completed in 50 weeks. The entire program costs $7,000.

The Artistic School of Nails and Cosmetology provides programs in cosmetology; facial and skin care; and manicures, pedicures and nail extensions. Students can enroll either full- or part-time. Full-time students attend class 40 hours per week, and part-time students are expected to attend 24 hours a week. The school also follows the courses required by the state of Florida for licensure.
