Beauty & Makeup Schools

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that the demand for hair stylists, manicurists, skin care specialists and makeup artists will increase by 19 to 38 percent from 2008 through 2018. To enter a field related to cosmetology, a state license is necessary and typically requires some type of professional training. One option for cosmetology education is to attend beauty and makeup schools, which provide students with post-secondary instruction and opportunities for hands-on practice.
