Michigan Beauty Schools

The Michigan Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth predicts that the demand for hairstylists, hairdressers and cosmetologists in the state will increase by more than 11 percent in the coming years. To gain a license to work in the field, students must complete a training program approved by the Michigan Board of Cosmetology. A number of private beauty schools in the state are accredited by this body, and prepare students for licensing exams through classroom instruction and hands-on experience working in on-site salons.
