Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) is also located in Auckland. It offers programs in hairdressing and beauty therapy at an accredited technical college. MIT also focuses on training candidates to manage any situation, through "hands-on, practice-based" training. Many graduates have gone on to work in the cruise-line industry, in film and television, or as managers of privately owned businesses. It is a one-year, 120-credit program.

NaSA (The National School of Aesthetics) has been training students in the beauty industry for more than 25 years. With diplomas offered in beauty therapy, nail technology and spa therapies, NaSA graduates receive accreditation from the National Spa Academy. The school's programs focus on many popular and New Age procedures, offering classes in aromatherapy, stone massage and lymphatic drainage massage.
