Why do you have black colleges but no white colleges?

Historically, Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) were founded because racial segregation prevented Black Americans from attending predominantly white institutions. The creation of HBCUs was a direct response to systemic racism and the need for educational opportunities for Black students who were otherwise excluded. There was no parallel need to create "white colleges" because white students always had access to higher education.
