Oxnard is a city near Los Angeles that has a number of technical colleges you can attend for career training. While some of these colleges are strictly vocational schools, others offer a number of technical programs in addition to broader undergraduate degrees. Campus tours for prospective students can be scheduled through the school's admissions department. As part of its curriculum, the college provides career development courses in resume preparation and interviewing skills.

    Oxnard College

    • Although not solely a technical institution, Oxnard College has extensive technical programs. Its Career and Technical Education Department offers associate degree and certificate programs in accounting, auto technician, fire technology and engineering technology. The college's Career Center services include help in finding a job or internship program, as well as fax machines, copiers and Internet access made available for student use.
