Electrical and Electronics Engineering Schools in Fort Lauderdale

The City of Fort Lauderdale is located in east central Broward County, Florida.     Broward College

    • Located right in the middle of downtown Fort Lauderdale, Broward College offers associate degree programs in electrical engineering as well as electronics engineering. Tuition for Florida residents averages $1,552, and $6,210 for nonresidents. Room and board is not available on-campus; off-campus room and board averages $9,000. Students who qualify for financial aid can expect to receive approximately $4,000. Among the many services and activities available to students are: intercollegiate sports, concerts and plays, over 100 clubs and organizations, and the Tigertail Lake Recreational Center, offering classes in scuba diving and windsurfing.

    ATI Career Training Center

    • ATI offers associate degree programs in electronics engineering and electrical engineering. The school does not offer on-campus accommodations, and off-campus room and board costs $5,850. Tuition for nonresident students is the same as for Florida residents: $17,000. The average financial aid received per qualifying student is just over $1,600. ATI admits any person having a high school diploma from an accredited high school, or with a GED; persons without either can also participate in special programs to enable them to enroll. All ATI schools are accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Arlington, Virginia.

    ITT Technical Institute

    • Tuition for both Florida residents and for nonresidents is $16,848; off-campus room and board costs average $7,119. Financial aid is available for those who qualify, and typically averages about $971. On-campus room and board is not available, but the institute does offer associate degree and bachelors degree programs in electrical engineering as well as electronics engineering. ITT Tech students can avail themselves of job fairs, student industrial tours, and A+ Certification prep seminars, in addition to enjoying activities such as the quarterly Student Hotdog Days. The Student Council frequently plans and organizes special sporting and social events of interest to the maximum number of students.
