Yes--Mississippi State University is not in Memphis. But it does provide a Graphic Design Internship Program that connects graphic design students with Memphis design firms that offer internships and apprenticeships. Mississippi is also less than a three-hour drive to Memphis for students who may be interested in spending the summer season there.
The program has connected more than 300 students with internships at national, regional and state firms since it's inception in 1998. Students can also receive credit for the hours they work with a company.
